Wivenhoe Market is a local community run market which takes place on the third Saturday of each month at Wivenhoe Congregational Church.
Our next market is on Saturday 18th May.
We open at 9.30am for early bird shoppers and will finish at 2pm for those who like a more leisurely Saturday. The aim is to bring our local community together and offer an alternative shopping and social experience. The market gives shoppers an opportunity to eat, drink, taste, shop, socialise, relax, watch, listen, enjoy and discover.
The emphasis of the market is to offer high quality, locally produced foods and unique handmade creations, whilst at the same time being conscious of avoiding waste and creating a minimal waste environment. The refill scheme offers household cleaning products and dried foods such as oats, flour, couscous etc. Bring your own containers, bags and baskets to fill up and don’t forget to bring your garden and household knives and tools to be sharpened.
The artisan traders will be baking, foraging, brewing, preparing, making, designing for you and will be bringing an array of mouth watering, quirky, unusual, eco friendly, useful, beautiful, biodynamic and seasonal goods. We look forward to seeing you there.
