May Market 2019

Join us on Saturday 18th May from 9:30am-2pm at Wivenhoe Congregational Hall, High street, Wivenhoe.

Stalls include locally raised meat (including biodynamic and organic), locally grown fruit and vegetables, and locally made jams and preserves, crafts, cards, jewellery, soaps, handsewn accessories, baby stuff, cakes and savouries (including vegan), and quality preloved clothing. There are also also refill stalls for dry foods and household cleaning, laundry and personal care products – bring your own containers and bags please!

April Market 2019

Enjoy Easter Saturday with us on Saturday 20th April from 9:30am-2pm at Wivenhoe Congregational Hall, High street, Wivenhoe.

We will have plenty of Easter cards, gifts and cake as an alternative (or supplement!) to shop-bought chocolate! We are also welcoming the return of St Botolphs Brewery and Unity Jewellery, and new stallholder Theresa Smith

Plus all the usual local farm produce, food and drink and arts and crafts.

There will also be live music from our busking spot and an Easter Treasure Trail for children.

March Market

Step into Spring with us on Saturday 16th March from 9:30am-2pm at Wivenhoe Congregational Hall, High street, Wivenhoe.

This month we have a Seed Swap stall run by Transition Wivenhoe Allotment Group. Bring your spare seeds and pick up someone else’s surplus! Also the tool sharpening stall will be back so bring your garden tools ready for the new season. Mother’s Day is coming up on 31st March and you’ll find lots of cards and gift ideas.

We welcome a new stall this month, Sharon Blackman Textiles, and the return of Wild Taste’s foraged foods. Please note no craft beer this month but we expect them back in April.

Wivenhoe Woodcraft Folk will run a swap stall for kids’ clothing and school uniform. Bring any unwanted/outgrown items to the market, or to arrange pickups of donations if you can’t bring it yourself on the day – email wivenhoewoodcraft@gmail.com.

February Market 2019

Show your local market some love on Saturday 16th February from 9:30am-2pm at Wivenhoe Congregational Hall, High street, Wivenhoe.

Stalls include locally raised meat (including biodynamic and organic), locally grown fruit and vegetables, and locally made jams and preserves, crafts, cards, cakes and savouries (including vegan). See below for the full stall list!

The market cafe offers amazing lunches and snacks with lots of vegan and gluten free options plus teas, coffee and soft drinks. There are also also refill stalls for dry foods and household cleaning, laundry and personal care products – bring your own containers and bags please! New this month – a Cable Amnesty for all those old computer cables you may have been hoarding. Just drop them in the bin provided on the refill stall.

Also new this month – a swap stall for kids’ clothing and school uniform, run by Wivenhoe Woodcraft Folk. Bring any unwanted/outgrown items to their stall at the market, or choose something to take away, or both! A donation to the Woodcraft Folk would be appreciated but isn’t essential. There will also be a ‘pay what you like’ preloved toy stall run by the children – donations of toys are welcomed. To arrange pickups of donations if you can’t bring it yourself on the day – email wivenhoewoodcraft@gmail.com.

January Market 2019

Come along to our January market on Saturday 19th from 9:30am-2pm at Wivenhoe Congregational Hall, High street, Wivenhoe.

For anyone who’s made a resolution to be greener and/or healthier in 2019, our stallholders can help! Reduce your food miles with locally produced fruit, veg and meat, some of which is also organic/biodynamic, and fresh fish from a local supplier. Reduce plastic use by bringing your containers to refill with cleaning/personal care liquid products and dry goods such as pulses and couscous. Get your gifts and homewares from local craft and design stalls and small eco-friendly businesses. Have a tasty vegan lunch or snack from the market cafe. Bring your kids to have fun at the craft activity being run by the Woodcraft Folk. Above all – come and enjoy shopping and socialising in a convivial atmosphere!
